4105 buyers, including 612 from outside Italy, attended the Bologna Fashion Shoe event, held between 8-10 July 2002, according to the organisers' statement. More than 220 companies exhibited at the event.

The show offered a preview of the medium, medium-fine and fine footwear collections- including advanced presentations of the spring-summer 2003 collection and updates of autumn-winter collections. The event also featured a seminar entitled ‘The secrets and techniques of visual merchandising for increasing footwear shop sales’.

The next Fashion Shoe will be held Bologna in January 2003.
