Two new BASF innovations for dyeing
BASF has introduced two innovations in the field of dyeing auxiliaries. Use of the products can reduce production costs through lower reject levels, the company says.
The first, called Primasol Jet, improves textile processing, especially on rope-dyeing machines. The product prevents the formation of running creases and chafe marks in the dyeing machine. This is essential in the lubrication of fabric without abrasion, which can render many metres of fabric worthless.
Primasol Jet allows for the optimisation of padding processes as the dye is absorbed faster and more completely, especially in the case of open fabrics woven from high-twist yarns. The product is compatible with all dyes and substrate types as does not adhere to the fibres or combine with the dyes. BASF says textiles dyed with the aid of Primasol Jet are more hard working and durable.
The second product, Setamol WS, is an anionic dispersing agent that is compatible with a range of dyeing processes and formulated for enhanced consistency and fastness of dyeing.
