Bayer reorganises, presents new website
As of July 1, the German pharmaceuticals and chemicals hybrid is now a management holding company with four legally independent corporate units - HealthCare, CropScience, Polymers and Chemicals - with the latter providing the new home for the company’s Leather Business Unit, which was previously part of the Specialty Products business group. The new unit also incorporates the organic colorant and inorganic pigment operations of the former Coatings and Colorants Business Group, plus the group’s Wolff Walsrode and HC Stark subsidiaries.
Bayer says the company’s lines of communications with its customers will be unaffected by the changes. The new division will retain the Bayer AG name until a new corporate identity is introduced at a later date.
The company has also announced the relaunch of its leather business website. The new site offers a host of useful services for the leather professional, the company says. These in include an event calendar, trend reports plus a German/English technical dictionary.
