Assomac chairman Giuseppe Barrera has reported that technology exports for the year to June 2002 were 20% down, and a concern. He said technology was the key to where the industry was headed, so Assomac had introduced three publications to increase customer awareness - Know how and what to do (history of footwear machinery), Innovation Notebooks and Tanning Engineering Notebooks. These are available in Italian, English, French, Spanish and Portuguese - with Chinese to follow.
