German exhibition centre rationalises leather dates

11/07/2002

Germany’s Messe Offenbach exhibition centre has advised that as from next year, it will reduce the number of leather goods fairs it holds every year from four to three, with the August fair being dropped in favour of an extra day added to the September event.

The company cites visitor preferences and the need to create a better ‘fit’ with the wider international trade exhibition calendar.

The relevant dates are:

2003: Saturday January 25 to Monday January 27

Saturday March 29 to Monday March 31

Saturday September 27 to Tuesday September 30

Messe Offenbach has also advised that it is expecting around 5000 trade visitors at this year’s autumn International Leather Goods Fair (August 17-19) which will feature daily fashion shows, a management motivation workshop plus a ‘Power Seminar’ by the consultant Elisabeth Jall.
