 The World Footwear and Materials Exposition is scheduled to be held on October 16-17, 2002 at the Grand Formosa Hotel in Taichung, Taiwan.

Organised by the Footwear Industries of America Division of the American Apparel and Footwear Association, the event is co-sponsored by the Taiwan Footwear Manufacturers Association and the Taiwan Footwear Research Institute.

Because Taiwan is a major specifying centre for shoes produced in China, the last two events each attracted more than 1,500 registered attendees. For this event, FIA has announced that exhibit prices have been reduced and that two basic shell designs for stands have been created.
