Wehling takes control of Bayer leather business
The German chemical giant Bayer has announced the appointment of Dr. Bernd Wehling as the head of its leather business.
A PhD chemist with 26 years’ continuous service with the company, Wehling succeeds Klaus Amthor, who has been promoted to general manager of Bayer Chemical’s new ‘DACH’ regional division covering Germany, Austria, Switzerland and the Benelux countries.
The appointment has been made as part of a wider consolidation of the leather business, the company says, which is aimed at providing a more customer-oriented service – all from a single source.
