South Korean foot and mouth spreads
An additional case of foot and mouth disease has been reported in South Korea and the government has destroyed 900 more pigs in an effort to control the outbreak. The recent case was discovered in Ansong, adjacent to Seoul, the nation’s capital.
To date, according to an agriculture minister, more than 92,000 head of livestock have been culled to control the disease. The discovery was revealed just before the start of the World Cup soccer games.
