Central Europe: productivity lower
Central Europe’s manufacturing firms achieve only half the rate of productivity of the region’s multinational companies, according to a new survey published by accounting firm Deloitte & Touche.
The survey showed that local firms had productivity of less than 67,000 euros ($62,794) per worker on average, compared with over 120,000 euros per worker for multinationals. Deloitte & Touche examined more than 100 firms operating in various industries for the survey, including food and beverages, chemicals, electricity, automotive and metal processing, from the Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, Slovakia and Slovenia.
