Lectra launches new process with Stork
French textile and leather production systems specialist, Lectra, has launched a new digital fabric printing solution designed for short production runs. The new process was developed in a strategic partnership with technology hardware company Stork, and was unveiled at the JIAM international trade show of apparel industry equipment, held in Osaka, Japan, May 15-18.
The system is based on the new Sapphire printer developed by Stork which can print from 10-32 square metres per hour. Developed for an industry where the ability to put a product onto the market quickly and customise to the needs of the consumer is critical, Lectra and Stork claim the new digital printing system allows manufacturers to offer innovative and cost effective prints for materials with short production runs.
