Treadstone Ltd of New Delhi, India, a manufacturer of leather shoes, goods and garments, is implementing an expansion programme at its footwear unit at Kanpur in Uttar Paradesh. The company, which produces riding shoes, is expanding its product range to include special shoes for both export and domestic markets.

The capacity at Kanpur is to be raised from 250 pairs/day to 1,000 pairs/day at a cost of Rs 15 million. The company said that the expansion programme is likely to be completed towards the end of the year.
