According to local reports the cattle population in Ukraine rose by 3.7% or 359,400 head in April compared with the month before.

The total head of cattle on April 1 was quoted as 10.129 million. The number of cattle at individual farms (51.7% of total) rose by 4.6% while at specialised farms (48.3% of total) the rise was slightly smaller at 2.6%.
