TFL buys Wilmington Leather Coating
Leather chemicals specialist TFL has strengthened its finishing division with the acquisition of Wilmington Leather Coating, a division of Seton Company, which specialises in finishing systems for automotive leather. The move follows two previous acquisitions by Germany-based TFL on the finishing side: Deacolor in 1998 and Novaria in 2001.
The acquisition also includes the company’s production facility for automotive finishing systems along with research and development and technical support capacity. According to TFL, the purchase will leave the company stronger in the US finishing market and closer to its US customers.
