The World Shoe Association (WSA) has agreed to place Global Leather onto the show floor for the August 1-4, 2002 event to be held in Las Vegas. Global Leather has also changed its name to Global Sourcing and will function as a pavilion in the larger WSA show.

The last edition of Global Leather, held in February, had relatively few exhibitors and poor attendance numbers. The American Apparel & Footwear Association (AAFA) is hoping that the new format will prove more successful, and the fact that it is now the only footwear supplier event in the US will help to ensure its survival.
