World Bank to help Ukraine with land reform
According to local reports, the World Bank is planning to grant a special credit to Ukraine amounting to $142 million to support land reform in the country. The money will go for issuing state acts for land and for establishing of an institution of private owners of land.
The credit facility together with state financing will be sufficient to complete the process whereby landowners are issued property rights. The World Bank intends to evaluate the project in June and the final decision over funding is expected to be taken immediately after that.
