Rocky Shoes & Boots Inc. has named David Sharp as its chief operating officer, a new position in the company. Sharp has been senior vice president of sales and operations at the US footwear maker since June last year.

Sharp joined the Nelsonville-based footwear maker two years ago as vice president of marketing and manufacturing operations. He came to the company after serving as general manager of the Double-H Boot division of Brown Shoe Co. Inc.
