Jinluda Leather to be official supplier for Olympic games
At the APEC meeting held in Shanghai last year, Zhejiang-based Jinluda Leather Goods Co., Ltd. signed an exclusive product contract with National Physical Exercise Bureau of China to become the official leather goods manufacturer for all Chinese athletes in the 28th Olympic Games to be held in Beijing.
The news represents a second victory for the economy of the Zhejiang province after another company was awarded the contract to transform Beijing into a "green" Olympic city in time for the games.
Established in the late 1980s, Zhejiang Jinluda Leather Goods is one of the more exclusive brands in the Chinese leather goods industry. At the APEC summit meeting in Shanghai, the company was asked to make briefcases for all the national leaders that attended. The success of this idea means that the company will continue to produce leather gifts for foreign visitors competing at the Olympics.
