Boehme Group opens new industrial unit in Brazil
German specialty chemicals producer Boehme Group has officially inaugurated a new industrial unit in Brazil in Apiuna, Santa Catarina. The company invested around $2 million in the new unit, which was built on a 24,000 square metre site.
The Boehme Group was founded in Dresden in 1879 and began by producing soap and dyes made from wood extracts. The German group now operates in more than 60 countries over five continents. In Apiuna, in the Itajai River valley, Boehme will produce lines of chemicals for the textile, leather and paper sectors.
