New training organisation for UK footwear and leather industry

Three former training organisations in the UK for the footwear, leather, textiles and clothing sector are amalgamating to form a new association. One of the new "Sector Skills Councils", it will have more resources and funding and more power to lobby government in support of the industry.

The name of the new organisation has yet to be decided, but it will comprise of the Footwear and Leather National Training Organisation (NTO), CAPITB Trust, the Clothing and Allied Products NTO and the National Textile Training Organisation.
