PTA wants higher profile for Pakistan abroad

27/02/2002

The chairman of the Pakistan Tanners Association (PTA) North Zone, Agha Saiddain, has urged his government to invest more in advertising and public relations to boost the image of Pakistan abroad. Mr Saiddain made the comments after a foreign trip, which included visits to France, Germany and Spain.

Mr Saiddain complained that he found that many people held a view that Pakistanis were fundamentalists, terrorists and live like the Taliban. He said that the government should make a greater effort and spend more money to obtain better coverage for Pakistan in the world’s media.
