Philip Rothwell retires from Stahl India

Philip Rothwell, managing director of Stahl India Pvt. Ltd. has retired after 35 years with leather chemicals company Stahl. He followed his father and grandfather by going into the leather trade, beginning his career at the Metropolitan Leather Company before studying for three years at the National Leathersellers College in London.
He joined Stahl in 1965 as a sales technician and was promoted to managing director in 1978. He then travelled extensively in different positions before moving to India in 1998 where he led the project to construct a manufacturing plant at Ranipet in Tamil Nadu.
