Industrial production surges in Hanoi, leather production up 47.5%

Hanoi has not been left behind as industrial production expands in Vietnam. According to recent figures from the Vietnam News Agency the country’s capital city grew by 38.1% in terms of industrial production in January.

The leather industry in the city recorded a massive 47.5% rise in production, while textile and garment production was up 27.6% percent. Among other industrial sectors, the highest rises were registered in the paper and paper products sectors, up 242% and 82.5% respectively, while steel production was up 142.9%.
