Daniel Green reduces product lines, changes name

06/02/2002

Daniel Green Co. has announced the sale of its Daniel Green and L.B. Evans slipper lines to Elan-Polo, a private company based in St. Louis, Missouri. Following the sale the US firm will concentrate on its two shoe lines, SoftWalk and Trotters, which it plans to expand through aggressive investment.

Elan Polo will purchase the remaining inventories of Daniel Green and L.B. Evans as well as related trade marks, and pay royalties to Green over the next four years.

As part of the agreement, the Daniel Green Co. will change its corporate name to an identity not yet specified, but one that will reflect the company's intention of becoming a footwear firm.
