Italian leather furniture manufacturer Industrie Natuzzi S.p.A has been awarded an ISO 14001 certification from London-based BVQI (Bureau Veritas Quality International). The award certifies that Natuzzi operates a formal environmental management system in accordance with BVQI's stringent guidelines and follows the company's ISO 9001 quality management accreditation, granted by BVQI in 1995.

The ISO 14001 certification means that Natuzzi has established a consistent and effective 'system for the environment,' which carefully monitors and manages those activities and production processes that could affect the environment, either directly or indirectly.

Pasquale Natuzzi, the company's chairman and CEO, said the ISO 14001 certification shows Natuzzi’s commitment to protecting the environment: "an issue that has always been important both to the company and to me personally."
