Specialty chemicals company Cognis is reorganising its management team following the sale of the company to a consortium of investors in a deal that was completed on November 30, 2001.

Harald Wulff is handing over his position as chief executive officer to Antonio Trius and is to become chairman of the supervisory board. Mr Trius was previously executive vice president, Care Chemicals, at Cognis, and will work with chief financial officer Joachim Sohngen and chief administration officer Helmut Heymann. The team will be focussing on preparing the company to go public within the next four to five years.
