Strong Brazilian presence promised for APLF

This year’s Asia Pacific Leather Fair (APLF) will see a stronger-than-normal Brazilian presence as sixty nine companies, mainly tanneries, have already confirmed their participation at the Hong Kong event.
Of these, 25 will appear under the ‘Cooperleather’ banner – a co-operative formed by tanneries producing crust for finished leather, with the aim of encouraging stronger overseas trade links.
According to Flavio Lucchese, Event Consultant of CICB - Centre for the Brazilian Tanning Industry, - the Brazilian stand at APLF 2002 will occupy 350 square metres of exhibition space, which is 100 square metres more than last year, with the bulk of the increase being accounted for by the Cooperleather contingent.
