Lacrosse returns to traditional values with PFT
The cold weather boot brand Lacrosse has taken what it says is a giant step forward in pac boot comfort with the addition of ‘Precision Fit Technology’ (PFT) – a patented construction method that shapes the boot’s rubber upper to the shoe last for greater comfort.
Utilising a process that closely mirrors that used in traditional leather boot making, PFT is available in whole and half sizes as well as medium and wide widths, allowing a better fit and less heel slippage.
PFT includes a patent-pending vulcanisation process that seals all boot seams and components for improved boot integrity and waterproofing. A compounded rubber boot shell is said to add a high degree of flexibility in cold temperatures while Thinsulate or Thermolite insulation provides warmth without excessive weight.
PFT is offered in LaCrosse’s ‘Buckmasters’, ‘Epic II’ and ‘Baseline’ ranges. New for Winter 2002 will be the ‘Back Forty PFT’, Pull-On PFT for Women, Camo PFT, Clog PFT for Women and the Extreme PFT in a wide range of heights, widths and size. Consumer roll-out of the new lines in the US will be July 1 2002.
