The outdoor clothing brand Woolrich Inc. has announced its own footwear brand which will be produced under license by St Louis, Missouri-based Elan-Polo.

To be sold through outdoor specialty retail stores, shoe and department stores, the new line will be rolled out to the trade at the January Outdoor Retailer Show in Anaheim, California and the February WSA Shoe Show in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Comprising slippers, casuals, boots and lightweight hikers, the range incorporates a wide array of functional technologies including Woolrich’s Hydromax 2100 which delivers breathable, waterproof characteristics to the shoe. The range also makes use of Technowool – a moisture managing and insulating material that is incorporated into the shoe upper – as well as Virbram outsoles and memory foam insoles with Sorbathane inserts.
