Dutch leather businesses spend less in October

Business-to-business sales of leather and textiles in the Netherlands fell 1% year-on-year during October, the country’s Central Bureau for Statistics has said.

This compares to 3% decline in all industrial sales during the month and a 14% fall in oil and chemical sales. By contrast, sales of wood and building materials rose 9%, with sales of food, drink and tobacco rising by 8%. Prices for all commodities were down 5% compared with October 2000.
