Indian government highlights potential of leather goods exports to the Netherlands

An official statement from the Indian has emphasised the importance of increasing Indian exports of certain goods, including leather and leather goods, to the Netherlands. The statement took place after officials met with the visiting trade minister of the Netherlands.

The meeting took place between Rajiv Pratap Rudy, India's Junior Minister for Commerce and Industry, and Dick Bruinsma, the Dutch secretary for International Economic Affairs and Commerce.

The Netherlands is an important investor in India, and ranks tenth in the list of countries with foreign direct investment currently running at Rs 49,123.7 million. Other products mentioned in the statement were textiles, garments, electronic and computer software and light commercial vehicles.
