Natuzzi gears up for growth

The world’s largest producer of leather upholstery, Industrie Natuzzi of Bari, Italy, has said it is looking to fill 400 new job vacancies.

Of the total, 340 have been created at the company’s factories in the provinces of Bari, Ginosa and Laterza (near Taranto) and Matera, where the vacancies are for leather cutters, sewers and upholsterers. Opportunities also exist for designers, interior decorators, product managers and colourists, as well as operations specialists in terms of both manufacturing and logistics.

Natuzzi says the vacancies are consistent with its ongoing programme of expansion, which at September 30 reached 1,140 billion lire, representing an annualised growth rate of 19.8%.

Following the start up of production at the company’s new Laterza plant in Tarato, the new posts are expected further reinforce Natuzzi Group's presence in the furniture manufacturing district of Apulia and Basilicata.  Natuzzi reports that of the 550 students that have passed through its training school over the past year, 70% found jobs.
