ABQTIC (the Brazilian Association of Leather Chemists and Technicians) has elected Alexandre Finkler president for the 2002-2004 period. Mr. Finkler is a representative for Killing Tintas e Adesivos, of Novo Hamburgo/RS.

Speaking about his appointment, Mr Finkler emphasised his deep commitment to preserving the value of the professions of leather chemist and technician. He said that better information and training should help to improve these fields. He also said he would like to see more professionals collaborating actively with ABQTIC.
