SATRA releases new footwear publication
UK test and research centre SATRA has published an updated version of ‘Settling Footwear Complaints’. The publication explains the key factors in dealing with complaints and is the only guidebook of its kind in the world.
The last issue was published in 1996, but since that time new European legislation has changed the nature of consumer complaints. Product liability issues have developed and there has been a significant increase in litigation.
In other news, SATRA has appointed leather expert Graham Rowley to become part of the UK research centre’s ‘quality services’ team. He joined the company in 1998 and will continue to be involved with general leather activities.
