Tanning Tech in Bologna is important for all aspects of the leather industry and none more so than the chemicals sector. Nearly one hundred leather chemicals suppliers were at the event this year, with the big names complemented by a number of small to medium sized companies.

In general, the feeling among chemicals companies was one of encouragement, chiefly because of the innovative approaches to leather currently being undertaken. The importance of chemicals has never been so important with growing environmental legislation and consumer demand for high quality leathers.
