Trio Trade acquired by ISCO Technic
The Netherlands-based steel toecap and soleplate manufacturer ISCO Technic, part of the ISCO Group has acquired Trio Trade (The Netherlands) and its English subsidiary Fix Line U.K. According to ISCO Technic, Trio Trade’s manufacturing activities have already been transferred to Kaatsheuvel, the base of ISCO Technic, and integrated into the ISCO organisation.
Founded in 1991, Trio Trade is a specialist manufacturer of ‘touch and close’ and reflective products, as used by the emergency services and roadworkers. The company employs seven in the Netherlands and two in the U.K.
ISCO Technic is one of the largest suppliers to the Netherlands shoe industry, providing hook and loop, foil and PVC coated cloth to zippers, locks and press and stud fasteners. The company’s other markets include sailmaking, furniture production and leathergoods manufacturing. The company has supplied hook and loop products to Trio Trade since 1998. The former owner of Trio Trade, Mr. Gezinus Siepel, will retain responsibility for the business development of both Trio Trade and Fix Line UK– with the latter name being discontinued as part of the integration.
ISCO has also announced that its ISCO Levenbach subsidiary has been appointed the agent for the nonwoven melted safety shoe lining Taibrelle in Europe, the Americas, Africa, the Middle East and some parts of Asia, expanding the company’s presence in the international safety shoe supplies accessories and linings market.
