Lodz leather fair a success

20/11/2001

The third year of the Lodz "Footwear – Leather" exhibition (central Poland) held on November 14-16, 2001 was a reasonable success, according to the event’s organisers. There were 82 exhibitors at the event, with most from the domestic sphere but also firms present from Germany, Italy, Spain and Portugal. The number attending is a significant increase on last year when there were only 57 exhibitors.

The Managing Director of (PCSLI), Mrs Aleksandra Krysiak, said she was quite pleased with the outcome of the fair. She said that Poznan Fair, which competes with Lodz, has failed to expand at the same rate, meaning that the Lodz fair is heading towards its aim to become the leading fair for leather in footwear in the region within the next few years.
