One of the textile business’s best known journals, Textile World, has a new owner.

The magazine has been acquired by Atlanta-based Billian Publishing, Inc., the publisher of Textile Industries, Textiles Panamericanos, the Textile Industries Red Book, and Diccionario Textil.  Billian’s Publishing is also the company behind Textile Industries.com and the Textile Industries e-newsletter.

Ironically, Doug Billian, founder and CEO of Billian Publishing, Inc., was responsible for relocating Textile World's publishing operation to Atlanta in 1971, before going on establish his own publishing company seven years later. It is understood that the existing editorial team, also based in Atlanta, is not being retained by Billian Publishing.
