BASF opens new Italian technical service centre for leather chemicals
BASF has announced the opening of a new technical service centre in Arzignano, Italy. The 5,000-metre centre will include the latest equipment for testing and will incorporate laboratories for research and development, a modern pilot plant facility and a blending station.
The range of performance chemicals for leather and fur supplied by BASF consists of standard products and specialities for beamhouse, retanning, dyeing and finishing. Natale Bungaro, sales director of BASF Performance Chemicals for Leather, Italy, said: " With our new Technical Service Centre we have renewed our commitment to the Italian leather industry. The know-how of our experienced staff and the latest equipment ensures that we can improve our services and react quickly to provide solutions for the problems tanners are faced with."
