Columbia’s leather exports fall in September

According to figures released by Colombia’s National Statistics Department last week, the country’s non-traditional exports including leather and textiles fell by 2.2% to $590 million during September.

Colombian total exports for the month amounted to $1.06 billion - down 3.74% from the same month last year – while exports for the first nine months of the year amounted to $9.33 billion, down 3.90% from the same period of 2000

The United States accounted for 44% of Colombian exports in the first nine months of the year, with Colombia's Andean Community partners Venezuela, Peru, Ecuador and Bolivia accounting for 21.5%.
