Polish tannery sacks new managing director
Andrzej Bukowski, Managing Director of Poland’s successful Skotan tannery, is reported to have been fired after only six months in the job.
The decision was taken by the controlling Karkosic family group’s supervisory board, apparently without any explanation being given - and in spite the company’s healthy first half profit of $190,000. A new Managing Director is expected to be appointed during November’s general shareholders meeting. A major player on the Warsaw stock exchange, the Karkosic family group is also said to have fired the Managing Director of its Brzeg tannery.
