Polish import ban on pork lifted

Poland has lifted its ban on imports of live pigs, wild boar and porcine-related products from 11 Western European countries.

Applicable to imports from Austria, Belgium, Finland, Norway, Italy, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Sweden and Switzerland, Croatia and Belarus, the ban originally been imposed due to risk the of swine fever taking hold in areas that have been badly affected by floods.
