Canadian leathergoods producer keeps it undercover
The Canadian leathergoods producer, K.W. Leather Products Ltd. of Waterloo, Ontario, has been awarded a C$267,006 (US$170,818) contract to manufacture helmet covers for the Department of National Defence (DND).
The covers will be produced in three patterns (Canadian Disruptive Pattern, UN Operations Blue and Arctic operations white) and delivered to DND depots in Montreal, Quebec, and Lancaster Park, Alberta. The goods which will be provided under this contract are part of the regular upgrading of equipment for Canadian Forces' personnel. K.W. says the contract will allow it to maintain 10 jobs through to March 2002.
