A greater number of exhibitors and a higher proportion of foreign participants are being promised by the organisers of one of Asia’s largest leather fairs, China’s 6^th International Shoe, Leather and Shoemaking Technology and Equipment Fair, to be held in the P.E. Center of Wenzhou city, October 26-29.

This year there are 650 booths available - an increase of 18% over last year. There is also hoped to be a high proportion of foreign companies with around two hundred expected from Taiwan alone. During the first five years of its existence, the fair has attracted 1500 foreign participants from countries such as Italy, Germany, USA, Japan and Korea. The fair is jointly sponsored by the Wenzhou Municipal government and the CLIA (China Leather Industry Association) among others.
