Brasher puts best foot forward at exhibition
The UK outdoor footwear company, Brasher Boot Company, walked off with no less than two coveted awards at this year’s ‘Go Outdoors’ exhibition in Harrogate The company won ‘Best Leather Boot’ for the fifth consecutive year and ‘Best Accessory Over £50.00 (sponsored by ‘Country Walking’ magazine).
The company also reported brisk business for its new generation of products at the exhibition – particularly with regard to ‘Quick’, a cross terrain hill shoe, the launch of which was held back for the show. Commented managing director, Robert Perkins: "Prior to the show we had realistic expectations of the levels of business we would conduct at Go Outdoors, with retailers and suppliers having suffered so badly during the foot and mouth disease. Despite fewer exhibitors, our order books looked extremely healthy after three days of swift trading. Terrorist crisis permitting, we anticipate our best year yet."
In a separate announcement, the Spanish leather goods and handbags producer, Lupo, has advised that it was the winner of the ‘Most Innovative Product’ category at MIPEL. Its prize was an equally innovative metre-high leather bag, bearing the image of Marilyn Monroe.
