This year’s UK’s footwear design awards celebrated the high quality of education and training of fashion and footwear designers in the UK for the industry worldwide. The Awards 2001 ceremony took place in London in late September when the internationally acclaimed footwear designer Jimmy Choo, an alumnus of Cordwainers College, presented the awards. The Alsop Award for Significant Leather Research was presented to C.K. Liu of the Eastern Regional Research Center.
