01/10/2001

Ksenoplast-A - a sister company to the Netherlands-based shoe producer Hevea - has constructed a new shoe factory in the city of Krasnoe Syolo, Russia.

The 12,000 square metre facility is targeted at producing some 2,160 thousand pairs of resin shoes before the end of the year - primarily for the domestic market. However, exports will also go to the Baltic States, Holland, Germany and USA. Ksenoplast-A has had a presence in Russia since 1992 where its factories account for some 15% of the total output of the Hevea group.
