Leather products to be showcased at new Armenian trade exhibition
Leather products are among those that will be showcased at a new ten-day trade fair, aimed at promoting trilateral trade between Iran, Greece and Armenia.
To be held in the Armenian capital of Yerevan on October 19 – 29, the exhibition will also celebrate the Year of Dialogue among Civilisations in the region and the 1700th anniversary of the acceptance of Christianity in Armenia.
According to Leon Aharounian, head of the joint Iran-Armenia Chamber of Commerce based in Yerevan, the Islamic Republic of Iran is Armenia's third major trading partner after Russia and Belgium, while exchange between the two countries currently stands at US$120 million a year.
In addition to leather goods, the exhibition will display construction materials, various kinds of foodstuff, medical instruments, household utensils, vehicle parts, clothing and washing powders.
