Modest growth in Thai leather goods production in first-half 2001

Along with the petroleum, printing, machinery and auto production sectors, Thailand’s leather goods industry managed to increase its output during the first half of the year.

Though no industry-specific figures were obtainable at the time of going on line, Thai manufacturing as a whole expanded by 1.5% during the same period – the same rate as in the first quarter – and in line with government forecasts.
