Garant Shoe group improves performance

Following an 12% jump in sales in the first seven months of the year, the German shoemaker Garant Schuh + Mode AG has upped its sales forecast for 2001 from 4% to 8%.
Total sales turnover in the January- July period was DM1.2 billion ($1.1 billion), compared with DM1.1 billion during the year-before period.
