SATRA publishes analysis of global footwear sector
The results of SATRA's latest research publication reveal that although China is the world's premier footwear producer, its position of dominance looks set to increase with exports growing even more quickly than before. Exports for the country have increased yearly by 3%, 11% and then 13% while Western Europe has been producing less and less. Footwear production in the UK, for example, fell by a massive 44% in 2000.
The latest edition of Footwear Markets Predictions, published by research organisation SATRA, gives a country-by-country analysis of the 30 key countries that account for over 90% of global footwear production and 80% of consumption.
